North Texas Orthopedics & Spine Center in Grapevine, TX is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant or orthopedic technician to provide patient care support and serve as a liaison between patients and physicians.

You will prepare patients for visits, assist during examinations, enter data into the EMR, coordinate all aspects of surgery scheduling, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms while contributing to a collaborative team focused on exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Certified Orthopedic Tech preferred.
  • DME, orthopedic, and medical office experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work, help, and contribute to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for office visit and interview about current problem.
  • Assist health care providers during examinations and perform dressing changes.
  • Enter data into the EMR system daily.
  • Liaise between physician and patient on calls, concerns, and scheduling.
  • Coordinate all aspects of surgery scheduling and pre/postoperative appointments.
  • Maintain and restock exam rooms and sterilize instruments.

Summary
  • Provides patient care support to licensed providers and serves as liaison between patient and healthcare provider.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for office visit & interview them on current problem.
  • Assists health care providers during examinations, such as removal of sutures, dressing changes, ordering labs, etc.
  • In putting data into EMR
  • Liaison between the physician and patient on phone calls, concerns, scheduling, etc.
  • Coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling, obtaining medical clearances, consents, submitting orders, and scheduling for preoperative and postoperative appointments.
  • Maintains exam rooms which may include the following: prepares exam rooms including stocking of appropriate supplies, instruments, and equipment for examination of patients daily. Cleans exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintains the office clinic space.
Non-essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Occasionally prepares disability and other forms for provider signature.
  • Inventories and orders medical supplies.
