Job summary

Blue Cloud, the leading pediatric ambulatory surgery center network, is hiring a Medical Assistant. You will support perioperative flow, assist nursing staff, and ensure clean, stocked areas to deliver safe patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic, High school diploma or MA program graduate, plus BLS, are required. Pediatric or surgical experience is preferred. Join a passionate team dedicated to quality care and patient safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff to maintain peri-operative flow and PACU efficiency.
• Keep patient care areas stocked and clean for ready access to equipment.
• Escort patients to preoperative area; obtain medical history and vitals; document in chart.
• Escort families to recovery and discharge areas as directed by nursing staff.

ABOUT YOU

You have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and strong commitment to providing excellent care to our patients. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and you desire to contribute to a strong culture where the entire team works together for the good of each patient.

YOU WILL

• Assist the nursing staff in maintaining the flow of patients and families through the peri-operative area, and even more so in the PACU
• Be responsible for keeping these areas stocked and clean so all essential equipment for patient care is readily available and orderly
• Escort patients to the preoperative area and obtain patient’s medical history, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart
• Escort families to the recovery unit when the nurse requests them, and escort patient and family to their vehicle/elevator upon discharge

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program
• Current American Heart Association issued Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred

• Pediatric or surgery experience preferred
• Minimum of one-year experience as a Medical Assistant
