Job summary

United Surgical Partners International is seeking a GI Technician/Endoscopy to assist during endoscopic procedures under a surgeon's supervision. You will operate equipment, support the procedure room, and collaborate with the physician and nurse to ensure patient safety.

You will also clean and disinfect endoscopes, restock supplies, and perform clerical tasks. A high school diploma, at least 1 year GI Lab experience, and current BLS are required; ambulatory center experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of GI Lab experience
• Ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital experience preferred
• Current BLS required

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation of endoscopic equipment during procedures under surgeon supervision
• Collaborate with physician and nurse to ensure optimal patient conditions in the procedure room
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and related instruments
• Manage patient flow, prepare the room, stock supplies, and handle clerical tasks

GI Tech

GI Technician/Endoscopy operates under the direct supervision of a surgeon to assist with the operation of technical equipment used during both simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and GI technician collaborate in the procedure room to create ideal conditions for achieving positive patient outcomes. The GI technician is also responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopes and other instruments. Additional duties of the GI technician include managing patient flow, preparing the room for procedures, stocking supplies, ordering materials, and handling various clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI Lab
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred
• Current BLS required
