Job summary

St Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco, CO seeks a Medical Assistant to support healthcare teams and patients. You will perform clinical tasks, assist with front-office duties, and maintain accurate chart documentation.

The role includes on-site responsibilities and participation in professional development within the MA Clinical Ladder. You will ensure patient care standards, promote safety, and contribute to an engaged MA team with competitive pay based on certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• BLS through American Heart Association required.
• Preferred: Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• One (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant or EMT.
• Completion of Medical Assisting Program/Trade/Technical School.
• Completion of EMT Program/Trade/Technical School; associates who completed EMT training may need pharmacology courses.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data, and evaluate patient's response and report to the responsible provider to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Demonstrate competency in vital signs, mini treatments/procedures, prevention services, previsit planning and postvisit follow up, medication refills per protocol for existing treatment plans and ensure patient flow through the clinic is efficient.
• Contributes to development and implementation of a patient plan of care with interdisciplinary team; identify barriers to participation and self-management to plan care and care coordination.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant Core Skills and any specialty-specific competencies per Scope of Practice for Medical Assistants.
• Thorough maintenance of patient charts and records, including importing and communication of scanned documents.
• Document status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.

As our Medical Assistant, you will assume a crucial supportive role, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients/families to identify and meet their comprehensive needs while promoting optimal health, well-being, and safety.

Every day you will perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by providers, potentially assist with front office duties, and meticulously maintain accurate chart documentation. You will also participate in professional development, contributing actively to our high-valued MA team.

• Assess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data, and evaluate patient's response and report to the responsible provider to ensure optimal patient outcome.
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic interventions including but not limited to vital signs, mini treatments/procedures, prevention services, previsit planning and postvisit follow up, medication refills per protocol for existing treatment plans and ensures patient flow through the clinic is efficient.
• Contributes to the development and implementation of a patient plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team; determines presence/absence of barriers to active participation in the individualized care plan and ability to selfmanage their health conditions, with the purpose of planning patient care and care coordination.
• Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills, as well as additional competencies which are specialty specific, as defined within the Scope of Practice for Medical Assistants.
• Thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records, including importing and communication of scanned documents.
• Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner.

$400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek, Lake, and Chaffee Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit Mountain Region site in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible). More details available upon offer.

Job Requirements

Required
