Job summary

The HealthCare Connection is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers and nurses in delivering high-quality care to children and adolescents at multiple locations in northern Hamilton County. No weekends, no evenings, early Fridays, and a schedule designed for work-life balance.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, vaccinating, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth clinic operations while supporting a mission-driven

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant program.
  • Active CPR certification.
  • Prefer at least one year of experience in community health nursing setting or private physician practice.
  • Preferred experience working with electronic health records, or proven computer skills a must
  • Experience working with persons of diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting providers with direct patient care including interviewing the patient and documenting vitals and medical concerns and conditions
  • Conducting requested screening/tests
  • Drawing blood and administering shots to patients
  • Responding to telephone inquiries
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies in exam rooms and office
  • Completing encounter forms and code as necessary
  • Conducting referrals for patients
  • Performing other duties necessary to provide excellent patient care to the patients and to support our providers

Medical Assistant Levels

This role is part of our Medical Assistant tier system, which includes:

Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), and Senior Medical Assistant levels. Placement is based on experience, certification, and qualifications.
