Job summary

Fordland Clinic, Inc. is seeking Medical Assistants to support clinicians and improve patient care across its three locations. The role involves patient intake, vitals, and preparing exam rooms, with opportunities to assist in Covid/flu clinics.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a $1,000 sign-on bonus to eligible hires, with full-time, on-site work hours Monday through Saturday depending on clinic needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Current CMA or LPN preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical experience may substitute MA certification.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take patient vital signs (BP, pulse, height, weight).
• Room patients and document chief complaint.
• Coordinate with providers for quality clinic care.
• Manage patient flow with appointments and walk-ins.
• Clean equipment and monitor oxygen levels.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures.
• Assist with Covid/Flu clinics at all locations.
• Pre-visit planning and vaccine outreach.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Provide backup support to Clinical Coordinator.
• Other duties as assigned.

$1,000 Sign-on Bonus

Medical Assistants provide critical support to the nurse practitioners and physicians in providing quality medical care to both medical and behavioral health patients.

Responsibilities (included, but not limited to):

• Take patient vital signs, including but not limited to blood pressure, pulse rate, height, and weight
• Room patients and establish a reason for the visit. Document chief complaint
• Work collaboratively with the provider for the coordination of quality health care for clinic patients
• Manage patient flow with the correct balancing of scheduled appointments and walk-ins according to the number and skills of providers present
• Clean medical equipment as necessary. Routinely check oxygen levels in the oxygen tank
• Prepare exam rooms and assist the provider with procedures
• Prepare patients for exams/procedures
• Assist with all Covid/Flu clinics at all 3 locations
• Pre-Visit Planning includingreaching out to patients due for vaccines that do not have appointment scheduled yet
• Assist with inventory management
• Provide back up support to Clinical Coordinator
• Other Duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school graduate
• Current Certified Medical Assistant or LPN, preferred
• 2 or more years of experience in the medical field may be adequate instead of a MA certification
• BLS/CPR certified

Work hours: Full-time, hourly position, Hours are subject to change. Clinic hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday. Current need for this role is Tuesday - Friday 8am-6pm. Although this is the typical schedule for the role, this position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Saturday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
