Job summary

Turnwell Mental Health Network is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians and streamline patient care in an on-site clinic. The role blends clinical tasks like vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and EKGs with administrative duties such as scheduling, billing, and EMR management.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program, and CMA certification (AAMA/NCCT/NHA/AMT).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current CMA certification from AAMA, NCCT, NHA, or AMT.
• CPR/BLS certification often required.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration).
• Prepare patients for examination or treatment and assist physicians with exams.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
• Perform EKGs and maintain clean and sterile instruments and rooms.
• Provide patient education and supervise vaccinations as needed.
• Monitor inventory and stock medical supplies.
• Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and greet patients.
• Process insurance forms, billing, and coding assistance; manage EMR/EHR.
