HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced clinical team in Fall River, MA. The role supports patient assessment, vitals, and clinical workflow, coordinating with providers and lab services.

Responsibilities include obtaining visit information, performing routine measurements, and retrieving medical records. The clinic offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a federally qualified community health center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of Medical Assistant program and externship required.
• Medical Assistant certification within 90 days of hire (CMA, RMA, or CCMA).
• Experience with EMR preferred.
• Bilingual skills (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
• Submit CORI release form and provide proof of no disqualifying information.
• Maintain CPR/BLS certification.

Description

Exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced medical team within a growing federally qualified community health center. HealthFirst Family Care Center, Inc. “The Heart of Our Community” provides comprehensive services including adult/pediatric medical care, health education, health assessment and screenings, gynecology, cardiology, behavioral health, substance use treatment, and adult/pediatric dental care.

Medical Assistant Summary:

Under the general direction of the Medical Floor Manager, the Medical Assistant will perform a wide variety of patient care activities including patient assessment, treatment, and general patient care for the patients’ visit. The Medical Assistant is responsible for obtaining pertinent information and reason for the visit; perform pulse, temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and BMI on all routine clinic visits; and retrieve labs, hospital records, and tests for the provider.

Schedule:

7:30am - 6pm four days a week

Rotating Saturdays 9-1pm

Pay Range:

$21.00 – $25.00 per hour*

*The pay range represents HealthFirst’s good faith estimate for this role at the time of posting, in compliance with applicable laws. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors such as relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, and budget considerations. Candidates with less direct experience may be placed at the lower end of the range, while those with more significant or specialized experience may be considered at the higher end.

Benefits:

Required Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent and the successful completion of a Medical Assistant program and externship are required.
2. Medical Assistant Certificate within 90 days of hire required (i.e. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA))
3. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
4. Bilingual skills (English, Spanish/Portuguese) preferred.
5. Must submit a CORI release form and demonstrate proof of being free from disqualifying information.
6. Maintain current certification in CPR/BLS.
