In this role, you'll support patients throughout their healthcare journey, from arrival through the delivery of care, including welcoming patients and gathering health information, and assisting providers with clinical care to ensure a seamless, high-quality healthcare experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Medical Assistant certification is required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and computer systems.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Ability to support both clinical and patient registration functions.

Responsibilities

  • Support patient registration, check-in, scheduling, and intake processes to ensure a positive and seamless patient experience.
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care and treatment.
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures.
  • Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and other required information.
  • Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Provide patient education and support as needed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and clinic operations.
