Align ENT + Allergy in East Lansing, MI is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in a full-time, in-person capacity. The role supports both clinical procedures and administrative tasks, including managing EHR documentation and patient scheduling.

The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient settings, familiarity with ENT/allergy contexts, and a solid foundation in medical terminology and patient service. BLS knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as Medical Assistant and strong clinical foundation.
• Knowledge of ENT/Allergy/Asthma is desired but not required.
• Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) protocols and emergency procedures.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and accurate patient documentation.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history
• Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with medical coding standards (ICD coding)
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coordinating referrals
