Job summary

PartnerCare seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to join our pain management team in Georgia. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, and document patient information to ensure a smooth visit.

The ideal candidate has a Medical Assistant certificate, BLS/CPR (ACLS optional), EMR proficiency (eClinicalWorks), and a patient‑centered approach. Prior pain management experience is preferred; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate of completion of Medical Assistant program required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred; experience with EMR systems (eClinicalWorks) a plus.
• Experience in pain management is preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies before and during visits.
• Greet and room patients; document vital signs and histories.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Document in EMR and ensure HIPAA/compliance standards.

This role is an integral part of the clinical care team, responsible for preparing patients for visits, assisting with procedures, documenting clinical information, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. To be successful in this role, the person will be a great team member, working together with others, kind and friendly, open to feedback for growth, and a role model of our values.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPatient CarePrepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies needed prior to and during patient examinations.Greet and room patients, taking and documenting vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.Assist physicians and providers during examinations and clinical procedures.Administer medications and treatments as directed and within scope of practice.Instruct patients and families on treatment procedures and post-visit care instructions.Respond to patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and compassion.Documentation & ComplianceAccurately document patient information, vital signs, and clinical observations in the EMR system.Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, infection control standards, and PartnerCare policies.Maintain required clinic logs including medication, safety, and temperature records.Clinical OperationsMaintain clean, organized, and fully stocked exam rooms and clinical areas.Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up coordination as needed.Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, front desk staff, and other team members.Support efficient patient flow and assist with clinic operations as directed.We prefer at least two years of experience but are willing to train newer teammates with the right focus on patient care, service, and teamwork.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCertificate of completion of a Medical Assistant program required.Current BLS/CPR certification required.Experience in pain management or specialty care preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.Experience with C-arm fluoroscopy and knowledge of procedures including RFA and SI joint injections preferred.Proficiency in EMR systems; eClinicalWorks experience a plus.If this sounds like you, wed love the opportunity to talk with you further about joining the team!About the Practice:Axis Spine & Pain, founded in 2006, has grown into a leading interventional pain management practice in Middle Georgia.
