Job summary

Monterey Medical in Dayton, OH seeks a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant to support disability and occupational health evaluations. You will organize records, greet patients, obtain histories, draw blood, collect samples, and assist with DOT and pre-employment exams.

You will work with NPs and PAs, ensure accurate records, and educate patients through the exam process. A high school diploma and CPR/BLS are required; certification as phlebotomist/MA is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certified Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant certification.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Experience in occupational health is preferred but not required.
• Ability to draw blood and urine samples for testing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and organize patient records prior to appointments.
• Greet patients, verify information, and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist with disability exams, occupational physicals, and DOT exams.
• Take and record vital signs, histories, and patient information.
• Perform basic diagnostic tests (vision, hearing, EKG, spirometry).

Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant – Disability & Occupational Health ExamsClinic Location: 5335 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429Job Type: Full-timePay: $20/hrSchedule: Monday - Friday, no weekends or evenings.What We Do:Monterey teams with general practice, specialists, and allied health practitioners nationwide to provide local coverage for examinees. We deliver a wide range of medical examination-only services to public sectors and the individuals they serve. Our clients include the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), the Department of Labor, the Department of Defense, and more. Our provider network consists of over 700 providers in various medical specialties and degree types. They conduct diagnostic-only examination services on an as-needed basis. These services may take place in their private office, established clinics located across the country, or during travel opportunities for group screening events.About the RoleMonterey Medical is seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant to support our clinical team in providing high-quality disability and occupational health evaluations. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, organizing, and indexing pertinent electronic records (e.g. military records, diagnostic test results, physician’s notes, etc.) by medical specialty and/or contentions using required technology.
