Job summary

Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support families at our Putnam County (Greencastle) and Montgomery County (Crawfordsville) outpatient clinics.

You will join the nursing and psychiatric team performing administrative, clinical and/or laboratory duties, including scheduling, insurance forms, copays and direct patient contact. Travel to assigned clinics is included.

Qualifications

• Medical assistant certification from a postsecondary medical assisting program.
• Certified in phlebotomy.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing and psychiatric staff in providing medical and psychiatric services to patients
• Coordinate medical and psychiatric treatment with other health care providers outside of the organization
• Coordinate medical and psychiatric services with other mental health professionals both within and outside the organization
• Provide direct contact, face-to-face or by phone, and indirect contact via electronic means or correspondence
• Provide medication education to patients about their medication type, indications and common side effects based on pre-written guidelines
• Travel to assigned clinic locations and other designated sites as required to support patient care and organizational operations

Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a full-time Medical Assistantto serve families at our Putnam County (Greencastle, IN) and Montgomery County (Crawfordsville, IN) outpatient clinics.

As aMedical Assistant,youwill be a member of the nursing and psychiatric team, performing administrative, clinical and/or laboratory duties. The position works closely with individuals and families served and includes direct contact, either face-to-face or by phone, and indirect contact via a variety of electronic means or correspondence. The Medical Assistant will schedule patient appointments, help patients complete insurance forms, and collect insurance copays.

• Coordinate medical and psychiatric services with other mental health professionals both within and outside the organization
