Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant in Corpus Christi, TX to provide both administrative and direct patient care. You will input information into the electronic medical records system, take vital signs, administer injections, and assist with diagnostic tests.

You will work closely with Physicians and Nurses onsite at the clinic location. The role requires MA certification or equivalent training, CPR, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Completion of an MA program or CMA/RMA certification, or 5+ years of experience with provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties in addition to patient care.
• Discuss symptoms and input information into the EMR system.
• Take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests.
• Collect specimens, draw blood, sterilize equipment, and maintain exam rooms.

Become a part of our caring community The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties. These duties include discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. They also take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator located at: 5718 Spohn Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78414.

Required

• You will have successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• You will have a high school diploma or equivalent
• You will be CPR Certified

Use your skills to make an impact

Preferred

• You will have phlebotomy experience
• You will have medication/vaccine administration experience
• You will have 1+ years MA experience
• You will have Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• You will be Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$39,000 - $49,400 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
