Job summary

USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. We operate 2 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room with outpatient ophthalmology services.

The role is weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or call, and may require occasional early mornings and later evenings; schedule subject to change based on surgical flow. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of direct related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assisting with linen changes, ambulation and transport.
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and report results.
• Assist during examinations and procedures; maintain a clean and safe patient care environment.
• May be cross trained in other clinical areas as staffing and patient needs change.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Employees may be cross trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones\' as staffing and patient needs change.
