Job summary

USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our outpatient Ophthalmology team. The role supports patient care across changing linens, ambulation, and transport, with a schedule of weekdays only—no holidays, weekends, or on-call.

You will assist during examinations and procedures, record vital signs, monitor nutrition, and help maintain a clean, efficient care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant, CNA or Patient Care Technician clinical training required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year related experience required.

USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. We have 2 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. With outpatient services performed in Ophthalmology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary: The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Employees may be cross trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones' as staffing and patient needs change.
