Job summary

Columbus Oncology and Hematology is seeking a medical assistant to join our team across our Columbus, Dublin, and Westerville locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence, clinical competence, flexibility, and dependability, helping us deliver compassionate care to patients with cancer and blood disorders.

You will room patients, obtain vitals, maintain confidentiality, handle basic lab and imaging reports, and assist with triage per office protocol.

Qualifications

• Two years' Medical Assistant experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant in Ohio preferred.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vitals, patient history, and reason for seeking care.
• Maintain patient records confidentiality.
• Prepare lab and radiology and acquire lab and x-ray reports.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to emergent situations per protocols.
• Maintain work area, exam rooms, and supplies.

• Certified Medical Assistant in Ohio preferred

• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Knowledge of computerized information systems
• Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures
• Knowledge of medical terminology
