A trusted healthcare organization in the Columbus, GA area is seeking a Medical Assistant to record patient information, maintain patient records, and perform front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.

Medical Assistant Responsibilities

1. Record and maintain updated patient records.
2. Sterilize medical instruments.
3. Answer calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and collect co-payments.
4. Provide patient care in an assigned clinical area.
5. Ensure patient and family safety and comfort according to standards.
6. Assist physicians or Registered Nurses as delegated.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with graduation from an accredited program.
• Experience in an OB / GYN clinic.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Willingness to float between specialties.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
