Colorado ENT & Allergy is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient-centered care under RN and physician supervision. The MA will assist with medical procedures and handle a broad range of administrative duties in an on-site clinic.

Responsibilities include preparing syringes for injections, administering medications, maintaining immunotherapy rooms, recording vitals, and keeping accurate patient records. MA/BLS certification required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must have RMA or CCMA certification; or obtain within 90 days.
• BLS/CPR certification required or willing to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Greets patients and prepares syringes for injection administration.
• Provides general care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments, specifically allergy/immunotherapy injections.
• Maintains immunotherapy room with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.
• Observes, records and reports patients' vitals and reactions to treatments.
• Assesses patient needs and suggests solutions to patient care problems.
• Maintains accurate patient records.
• Assures patient stays for required observation time after injection(s).
• Reacts appropriately in patient reaction situations; informs physician and/or other clinical staff as necessary to mitigate adverse reactions.
• Responsible for reporting improperly operating medical equipment and instruments to supervisor.
• Responsible for following OSHA regulations.
• Maintains patient, employee and clinic confidentiality.

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing patient centered care and procedures under the direct supervision of the registered nurse and physician. In addition, the MA will assist with medical procedures as well as perform a broad spectrum of administrative duties. Medical assistant experience preferred but not necessary.

Requirements

• Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant- Required (or must obtain within the first 90 days of employment)
• Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider (BLS/CPR)- Required (or willing to obtain)

Work Environment

• This position will be performed on site in a medical office setting.

Pay Range: $19-23.00 an hour

Location: Rotating position between three locations: 3030 N. Circle Drive, Ste. 300; 6031 E. Woodmen Road, Ste. 300; 3595 E. Spaulding Avenue, Ste. B Pueblo CO
