Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s LGP - Montgomery Primary Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to join a patient‑centered team. The role provides clinical support, prepares exam rooms, takes histories and vital signs, assists with injections, lab work and minor procedures, and helps maintain a safe, organized clinic environment.

Full‑time, Monday to Friday, days, with no nights or weekends. Certification in Medical Assistant is required, with various approved credentials, and one year of clinical experience

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Medical Assistant Certification is required with accepted credentials (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA, ABR-OE) or certification within 60 days of employment if recently graduated, or within one year if experience only.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
• Answer calls and screen referrals.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Medical Assistant for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
• You will prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
• You will give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
• You will assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
• You will answer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referral

What Qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE:

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

High School Diploma or GED Required

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: 3 ways to qualify:

• Medical Assistant Certification - required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA certification, or ABR-OE credentials is acceptable OR
• Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment.
• Candidates/incumbents with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within one year of hire date.
