Job summary

College Park Family Care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. This full-time role involves patient prep, vital signs, and supporting clinicians to deliver high-quality care in a friendly, team-based environment.

You will assist with exams, injections, lab testing, and minor procedures, while maintaining sterile supplies and coordinating referrals. Monday–Friday days, no nights or weekends, offers stability and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Medical Assistant Certification

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms with instruments and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Administer injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
• Assist physicians in minor surgeries and physicals.

Seeking a Medical Assistant for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

• You will prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
• You will prepare exam and treatment rooms with the necessary instruments for your patients including preparation and maintenance of supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
• You will give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
• You will assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
• You will answer telephone calls to the practice and screens for referral

What Qualifications you will need:

• One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Medical Assistant Certification

3 ways to qualify:

• Medical Assistant Certification - required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NRCMA certification, or ABR-OE credentials is acceptable
• Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment.
