Job summary

Erie Family Health Centers in Chicago and surrounding suburbs seeks Medical Assistants to support in-clinic care for diverse patients. We welcome recent grads and offer opportunities to grow from MA to MA II, MA III, Trainer, Team Leader, or Supervisor.

Compensation starts at $19/hr+ based on experience, with a $10/hr shift differential after 5:30 PM and weekends. A $500 sign-on bonus at 90 days plus $1,000 at 6 and 12 months is offered, along with annual merit increases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Medical Assistant program or BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing).
• Successful completion of 160-hour MA Externship required or Completion

Responsibilities

• Assists medical professional staff by performing routine patient care, laboratory procedures and clerical procedures to support the delivery of patient care.
• Monitors patient flow by assuring that clients are serviced promptly and effectively.
• Prepares examination rooms ensuring that rooms are clean, orderly and properly stocked with supplies for use during exams

  • $19/hr.+ based on experience and with potential for merit increases. Registered MAs earn $1 more/hr.

Education

Skills And Knowledge

• Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Phlebotomy skills, or desire to learn, strongly preferred
• Experienced in utilizing a computer, Microsoft Products and EMR preferred
• Current and active CPR Card, required
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Bilingual language is a plus
