Job summary

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Carthage, MO, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Carthage Clinic.

The MA provides patient care in the office setting under supervision, supports clinical workflows, and helps communicate with the care team and patients to ensure quality service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience in a medical clinic or office (preferred).
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross; recertification required.
• Float positions require a Valid Driver's License and a background check during onboarding.
• Must maintain regulatory requirements and adhere to office policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the office setting under supervision of licensed staff and physicians.
• Support clinical workflows and document patient information accurately.
• Communicate with physicians and team about patient condition, test results, and symptomatology.

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Carthage, MO, is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA)to to join our Carthage Clinic.

The Medical Assistant provides patient care in the office setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse and/or physician and clinic manager. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
• Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
• If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.
