Job summary

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Neosho, MO, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the Newton County Clinic. The MA will provide patient care in the office setting under supervision, ensuring compassionate, compliant care for patients and families.

Responsibilities include communicating patient status with physicians and team, meeting regulatory requirements, and supporting both clinical and administrative tasks as part of a dedicated care team at the Newton County Clinic.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1 year of related experience in a medical clinic or office preferred.
  • Must hold a current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) with recertification as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in the clinic under supervision and in accordance with policies.
  • Communicate patient status, diagnostic results, and needs to physicians and care team.
  • Maintain regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, and standards of care.

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Neosho, MO, is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Newton County Clinic.

Our Mission:

The Medical Assistant provides patient care in the office setting. Provides care that meets the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care; meets the communication needs of patient and family; provides care that reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse and/or physician and clinic manager. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 1 year of related experience working in a medical clinic or office, preferred.
  • Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
  • Float positions require a Valid Driver's License.
  • If float, valid Driver's License required. This requires a Motor Vehicle Driving Record Background Check to be completed during the onboarding new hire process and throughout employment.
