Job summary

San Mateo Podiatry Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to greet patients, manage the new patient experience, and document care in an Apple iPad EMR under physician supervision. Strong customer service, organization, and accuracy are essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will have medical office experience, English/Spanish bilingual skills a plus, and familiarity with e-prescribing and referrals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.

• Other duties as assigned, including ongoing team education and development.
• All duties and responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Many of our medical assistants have developed their careers with us, spanning decades, or advancing to nursing school, or physician assistant school.

A Day in The Life: (General Responsibilities)

• Greet and welcome patients
• Learn and Implement the New Patient Experience
• Under the Doctor's supervision, track the patient's care in the practice's Apple iPad EMR.
• Track office productivity metrics
• Other duties as assigned, including ongoing team education and development
• All duties and responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and have expertise with patient intake and basic EMR charting, procedure setup, e-prescribing and outbound referrals.

Top candidates will have medical/dental office experience, (plus points for growth oriented practice experience)

Candidates with certificates or degrees in medical practice administration or equivalent combination of education and experience are preferred.

Must be able to follow work protocols, work independently, set, evaluate, and achieve monthly goals, maintain superior organization skills, and follow through on all daily tasks to completion.

Preferred:

• 2-5 years of experience
• English / Spanish bilingual is a plus to better serve the community
• Knowledge of MacOS and iOS, G-Suite
• Basic understanding of health insurance
