Medi-Weightloss of Jackson, Brighton, Ann Arbor is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care, perform vitals, EKG, phlebotomy and front office duties. The role includes handling insurance and VOB tasks, charting in EMR, and assisting physicians.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will perform patient vitals, EKG, phlebotomy, and front office duties, including insurance and VOB.

Administrative Duties

• Answer and route multi‑line phone system calls.
• Conduct follow‑up calls to discuss patient progress.
• Refer complex requests to appropriate staff.
• Maintain a friendly environment and greet patients.
• Monitor daily inventory of clinical and office supplies.
• Scan and upload documents to patient files.
• Train staff on daily procedures when requested.
• Participate in clinic marketing efforts to promote profitability.

Clinical Duties (varied based on credentials)

• Obtain patient vitals, EKG, perform phlebotomy.
• Administer IM injections.
• Prepare laboratory order forms and obtain results.
• Assist physicians or mid‑level practitioners with patient referrals.
• Document patient progress notes in chart/EMR.
• Conduct follow‑up calls to discuss progress.
• Perform other clinical duties as required.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant certification.
