Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians and patients across a fast-paced clinic environment. You will prepare patients for procedures, document medical histories, and assist with minor in-office tasks including X-rays and podiatric services.

The role requires a diploma or MA program completion, with CMA/RMA certification preferred. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential for success in this multi-location practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services (nail care, callus removal, diabetic shoe fitting).
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

The Medical Assistant provides essential support and administrative services to the office, the doctors, and the patients in a fast-paced doctor's office. This person will be involved in a wide spectrum of tasks focused around assisting the Physician in all minor in office procedures.

Medical Assistant Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience with medical terminology and insurance processes (preferred)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
