MCR Health, Inc in Arcadia, FL is seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with 1–2 years of experience to join our care teams. You will perform vital signs, interview patients, and chart while collaborating with providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements include current BLS, externship hours verification, graduation verification, and the ability to float to alternative locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• Submit proof of externship hours from an accredited program required.
• Ability to verify graduation from an accredited school.
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute required.
• Cardio Department ONLY: ACLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety Institute required.
• Valid government or State ID required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the time and attendance policy as written in the employee handbook.
• Float to alternative locations as instructed by supervisor with short notice and ensure adequate site coverage.
• Provide vital signs, interview patient/family, and charting.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating needs of patients and peers.
• Maintain positive, effective communication with providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
• Ensure providers’ orders are directed to appropriate departments.
• Assist with exams, procedures, and sutures as requested.
• Process medication and DME authorizations for patients in a timely manner.
• Utilize walk-in triage and interventions for patients under Clinical Nurse Leader leadership.

As Part Of This Role, You Will

• Responsible for providing vital signs, interviewing the patient/family, and charting

• Knowledgeable / Assists providers as requested with exams, procedures, removal of sutures, etc.
• Completes medication and DME authorizations for patients in a timely manner
• Knowledgeable in walk-in triage and interventions regarding patients' age under the leadership of the Clinical Nurse Leader

Requirements

What you need to bring to this role:

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with 1 – 2 years’ experience preferred
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program required
• Submit proof of externship hours from an accredited program required
• Ability to verify graduation from an accredited school
• Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute Required

Summary

This individual assures that services are administered utilizing professional standards with a strong focus on quality, timely care, and exceptional customer service under the direction of the medical provider. Assist in the maintenance of an environment conducive to the health, training, and well-being of peers and patients. This individual may have to float to sites as needed at the direction of the Department Head or designee.
