Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Technician to support physicians with patient care and procedures in a fast-paced clinic setting. The role emphasizes accurate documentation in the EMR, maintaining supply levels, and aiding with tests and referrals as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and phlebotomy/EKG credentials or experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program; CMA preferred.
• Phlebotomy and EKG certifications preferred or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 months experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Ability to perform EKGs and rapid bedside tests is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with medical procedures within MA scope of practice.
• Document encounters accurately in EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist Site Managers with patient flow, inventory, and labs.
• Ensure DOH compliance for site labs and exam rooms.
• Maintain clean, courteous, and professional workspace.
• Provide compassionate patient care and support training for new staff.
