Job summary

PREMIER DERMATOLOGY, PLLC in Aurora is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our fun and fast-paced dermatology practice. We're looking for someone outgoing to help provide an excellent patient experience with a supportive team environment.

Your role will involve assisting with patient intakes, documenting in our EMR system, and supporting various procedures. We value communication skills and a strong work ethic. Compensation ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Great communication skills and a willingness to be cross trained are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Assist with answering office phone and fielding phone calls from patients to address clinical questions and concerns.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, complete initial intake, and start notes.
• Documenting in EMR system.
• Scribe for provider(s) during exam.
• Assist with procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic procedures.
• Communicate with insurance companies and/or pharmacies to get prior authorizations for procedures and medications.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills & work ethic.
• High standard of professionalism & integrity.
• Previous experience as a medical assistant in a healthcare setting.
• Dermatology experience is desired but not required.
• Familiarity with scribing (experienced applicants will be contacted first), prior authorizations and medical terminology.
• Attention to detail & accuracy is essential.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and quick on your feet.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) a plus but not required.
