Job summary

Medical Specialists of the Palm Beaches is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our medical team in Atlantis, FL. You will assist with patient preparation for examinations, perform triage, take vitals, and support clinical procedures.

You will educate patients, follow up on test results, and coordinate referrals and pre-certifications. The role requires effective communication, reliability, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical setting preferred; formal training or certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Athena EMR and CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient typing and computer keyboard skills.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and patient assessment.
• Take patient vitals as needed.
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures prescribed by the physician.
• Support the physician during clinical office procedures.
• Provide patient education and instructions.
• Follow up on test results and give proper care instructions.
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain logs.
• Coordinate scheduling and pre-certification for tests ordered by the physician.
• Maintain patient charts, records, and dictation.
• Take patient phone messages and follow up as necessary.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patient care.
• Perform lab and X-ray tasks if certified.
• Order medical supplies as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the physician or practice manager.

Located In:Atlantis, Florida 33462-1151We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our medical team. This role involves assisting patients with preparation for physician examinations, performing patient triage and assessments, providing education, and ensuring appropriate follow-up care as directed by the physician. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable about HMO insurance carriers.
