Illinois Cancer Specialists in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time role. The position offers an hourly rate of $19.00–$24.00 and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k), HSA, generous PTO, and wellness perks.

Under direct supervision, you will support physicians and clinicians with patient care duties, help manage patient flow, perform clinic support tasks, and assist with scheduling and administrative duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification required (BLS).
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills highly desired.
• Oncology experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
• Assist patients with scheduling appointments in the electronic system.
• Provide collaborative nursing support.
• Maintain efficient patient flow.
• Assist with procedures as requested.
• Administer appropriate injections.
• Take vitals.
• Answer/return patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse
• Tend to the needs of the patients while getting treatment
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments

Overview

Medical Assistant - Arlington Heights, IL - Full-Time

Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, i.e. exams, and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks including miscellaneous clerical tasks, answering phones, and maintaining physician’s schedule. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
