Job summary

Avance Care in North Carolina is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a single provider in a fast-paced primary care setting. This full-time role features 12-hour weekday shifts with a rotating weekend schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days of employment.

You will escort patients, triage, administer vaccines, record data, assist with exams and a wide range of procedures, and manage medications and room readiness to ensure efficient care delivery.

Qualifications

• CMA/CCMA/RMA/EMT certification with at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam and treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data prior to physician visits.
• Assist physicians with exams and various procedures.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and dispense medications as ordered by the provider.

Selected Responsibilities

• Administer medications
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider

Candidates should preferably have one of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT, along with at least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
