Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care in Northern Virginia seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk operations and ensure efficient patient flow.

You will work with providers to deliver high-quality care and create a welcoming patient experience in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required at time of hire).
• Graduate of Medical Assisting program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect demographic, insurance, and eligibility information.
• Process co-pays and assist with scheduling.
• Prepare patients for examination and document medical history accurately.
• Measure and record vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results to providers.
• Draw blood and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Maintain exam rooms and inventory.
• Support front desk duties and patient communication.
