Job summary

Texas Spine Consultants is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our pain management practice. You will support clinical operations, take patient history, assist with examinations, and help ensure high-quality patient care.

This role includes scribing duties and routine administrative tasks to support the care team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others while collaborating with physicians and ASC centers to

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant: 1 year (Required)
  • Scribe Experience is a Plus
  • Medical office: 2 years (Required)
  • Pain Management: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Relevant: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Answers phones.
  • Scribing for the provider.
  • Performs general nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • Greets patients and takes them back to rooms.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patient's charts.
  • May collect urine samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepares examination rooms and maintains daily cleaning list.
  • Filling out procedure consents.
  • Schedules patients for their special procedures with the ASC centers.
  • Formulates and documents patient care plans, charts, tests and examination results in the medical record.
  • Escalates non-routine issues to the Office Manager or Physician.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager or Physician.
