Job summary

Hydrafacial is seeking a Manager of Medical Affairs to drive global strategy, oversee clinical studies, and lead scientific communications across product lifecycles. The role partners with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Marketing to ensure compliant and evidence-based programs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Medical Affairs, with experience in aesthetics or medical devices, strong GCP knowledge, and a proven publication track record. Travel up to 20% is required. Hybrid work in the USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced scientific degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical, or related scientific role.
• Experience in aesthetics, dermatology, or medical devices is preferred.
• Strong understanding of clinical research methodologies and GCP.
• Experience managing clinical studies and interpreting data.
• Strong understanding of claims substantiation.
• Proven track record of scientific publications and medical writing.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the global Medical Affairs strategy in line with product lifecycles and business priorities.
• Plan, execute, and oversee clinical studies—protocols, CROs, investigators, timelines, budgets, data quality, and GCP compliance.
• Develop and implement clinical evidence generation strategies and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Provide scientific leadership for analysis and interpretation of data supporting product positioning and regulatory submissions.
• Develop and review scientific content: dossiers, white papers, manuscripts, abstracts, congress materials, training resources, presentations and FAQs.
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and investigators to gather external insights and strengthen collaborations.
• Partner with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, Clinical Operations, Legal, and Commercial teams to support development and education.
• Develop SOPs, budgets, metrics, and maintain medical information processes; manage external vendors.

You will partner across Research & Development, Clinical, Regulatory, Marketing, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure scientific excellence while driving operational effectiveness and compliance.This role requires a strong blend of scientific rigor, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the organization is positioned as a clinically credible and science-driven leader in the aesthetic device space.**What you’ll do:**Primary Responsibilities:* Lead the execution of the global Medical Affairs strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, product lifecycle plans, and organizational priorities.* Manage the planning, execution, and oversight of clinical studies, including protocol development, CRO and investigator management, study timelines, budgets, data quality, and compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.* Drive clinical evidence generation strategies by identifying data gaps, evaluating scientific opportunities, and translating clinical insights into actionable recommendations that support product development, claims substantiation, and lifecycle management.* Provide scientific leadership for the analysis and interpretation of clinical data to support product positioning, regulatory submissions, publications, scientific communications, and marketing claims.
