Discovery Behavioral Health seeks an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to provide direct clinical services for a range of psychiatric conditions in an outpatient setting. The role is part-time and paid as a 1099 contractor, with on-site work in Chantilly, Virginia.

The ARNP will work under the Chief Medical Officer, with a preference for candidates willing to treat patients with substance use disorders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required for ARNP role.
• Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licensure in state of practice is required.
• 3+ years ARNP experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with TMS treatment protocols is desirable.
• Ability to engage patients and use electronic medical records.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate scheduled patients in line with prevailing practice standards, including psychiatric history, medical history, social/family history, mental status exam, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
• Establish rapport with patients and their social system to support treatment decisions.
• Prescribe and implement treatments within ARNP scope of practice; manage medications as appropriate.
• Complete records promptly, generally the same day or within one week of service.
• Code services per ethical and legal billing standards and strive for 80% productivity based on CPT codes.
• Coordinate vacation coverage and medication refills with other clinicians and staff.
• Collaborate with internal and external clinicians and management to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Summary

The age range is based on the scope of practice of the individual. Due to the nature of our behavioral health care model, willingness to work with patients with substance use disorders is preferred.

• This is a part-time 1099 Contractor role
• Range of pay is $70.00 to $80.00 dollars per hour
• Work is performed on-site at the location

Position Summary

Essential Job Functions

• Evaluate scheduled patients consistent with prevailing practices standards. This includes collection of psychiatric history, relevant medical history, social and family history, mental status exam, diagnosis and devising a treatment recommendation
• Establish rapport with patient and relevant members of their social system to assist them in understanding and accepting treatment recommendations within a shared decision-making model
• To prescribe and implement treatment consistent with diagnosis and relevant standards, including the prescription of medications consistent with the ARNP's scope of practice
• Complete records accurately and in a timely fashion. Generally, this means the same day of the service provided, but no later than one week after seen
• Code services consistent with ethical and legal billing standards while supporting billing adequate to support the position financially
• Strive to seek 80% productivity based upon CPT code time elements. Extra time is allotted to complete an initial evaluation per utilization policy for medical services
• Cooperate with other medical services around vacation coverage, both direct and medication refills as necessary
• Collaborate with internal and external clinicians, administrative staff and management staff to provide the best care to all clients/patients
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

• Willingness to follow through with ethical responsibilities to patient, including occasional engagement off hours to support necessary medication coverage (refills, etc.)

Knowledge, Education, Experience

• Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care or other related field
• Possess and maintain an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licensure in state of practice
• 3 years of Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner experience is strongly preferred
• Proficient understanding of TMS treatment protocols
• Ability to engage patients in the therapy, or a willingness to learn
• Ability to use electronic medical records
