Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Missouri seeks a Medicaid Specialist to support the Business Development Team with Medicaid applications, document collection, and form completion. The role requires strong organization, detail orientation, and travel as needed in LTC settings.

You will review referrals, assist with documentation, and maintain tracking for all Medicaid cases through to approval, while ensuring compliance with state laws and the company's ethics policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in Medicaid application/renewal for LTC facilities.
• Proficient computer skills in standard software.
• Well organized with ability to multitask effectively.
• Attention to detail in documentation and processes.
• Willingness to travel with a valid driver's license & auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and Medicaid questionnaires to determine eligibility.
• Assist in completing applications and collecting supporting documents.
• May communicate with residents/families regarding the process.
• Maintain tracking for Medicaid Pending residents to approval.
• Monitor Medicaid application progress and timelines.
• Attend daily census calls with facilities.
• Report delays or denials to Regional Director of Business Development.
• Ensure compliance with state laws governing the role.
• Adhere to the organization’s Compliance Plan and Code of Ethics.
• May assist other departments within the Central Billing Office.
• Other duties as assigned or changed.

Your Job Summary

The Medicaid Specialist will assist the Business Development Team with completing Medicaid applications. This includes assisting with collecting documents, completing supplemental forms, and completing applications.

Your Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities

• Review referrals and Medicaid questionnaire from assigned patients to determine eligibility for Medicaid.
• Assist in completing applications and collecting supporting documentation.
• May have communication with the residents and/or family members regarding the application process and supporting documentation needed.
• Maintain tracking system for all assigned Medicaid Pending residents to approval.
• Maintain tracking system to monitor Medicaid application process.
• Attend daily census calls with assigned facilities.
• Report any delays, barriers or denials to the Regional Director of Business Development.
• Ensure compliance with all State laws in relation to your position.
• Adherence to the Organization’s Compliance Plan and Code of Ethics.
• May occasionally assist other departments within the Central Billing Office.
• Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice.
