Job summary

FreedomCare in Indiana is seeking a Program Director for Medicaid Services to lead operations, quality, and growth of the state program. You will translate statutes and waivers into effective policies, supervise clinical and non‑clinical teams, and ensure readiness for audits while collaborating across Marketing, Compliance, Finance, and Technology.

This hybrid role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of Medicaid operations with leadership, and collaboration with state

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field.
• 5+ years in healthcare or Medicaid operations with leadership.
• Experience interpreting Medicaid regulations and audits.
• Ability to lead clinical and non-clinical teams and collaborate across functions.
• Hybrid work environment in Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the accountable operational leader for the Medicaid program and manage day-to-day operations.
• Develop knowledge of state statutes, regulations, waivers, provider manuals, and contracts.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement required changes within timeframes.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state requirements, privacy, and organizational policies.
• Develop and update program-specific policies, procedures, and forms.
• Oversee Medicaid program workflows from referral to discharge as applicable.
• Protect member health and safety through risk management and escalation of concerns.
• Hire, onboard, train, and develop program staff with clear accountability.
• Maintain audit readiness through case reviews, monitoring, and corrective actions.
• Partner with Marketing and business development to drive compliant growth.
