Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Medicaid Practice Group - Project Manager in the United States to oversee complex transformation initiatives for state Medicaid and health and human services programs. You will manage project plans, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions across client engagements, working with clients, internal teams, vendors, and senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • PM experience working with State Medicaid or HHS programs.
  • PMP certification from PMI required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage day-to-day activities of project teams and schedules.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Medicaid Practice Group - Project Manager based in United States.

The Medicaid Practice Group - Project Manager will support complex transformation initiatives for state Medicaid and other health and human services programs. This role will oversee project planning, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions across client-facing engagements. As a trusted advisor, you will help clients align organizational transformation efforts with their broader business strategies and operational goals. You will work closely with client contacts, internal teams, vendors, and senior leaders to maintain alignment and momentum. The position combines hands-on project management with stakeholder coordination, reporting, and proactive problem solving. This is an opportunity to contribute to large-scale enterprise implementations in a collaborative, consulting-focused environment.

Accountabilities
  • Oversee and monitor project plans for client success and growth workstreams.
  • Track deliverables and dependencies to ensure commitments and milestones are achieved.
  • Support the integration of client success and growth workplans into broader engagement plans.
  • Identify project interdependencies, conflicts, risks, and potential impacts proactively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts, project team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop, review, distribute, and present project status updates and readiness assessment reports.
  • Monitor and track project action items, issues, risks, and decisions.
  • Prepare project issue and risk memoranda as needed.
  • Facilitate and participate in staff and project team meetings.
  • Maintain clear, frequent, and consistent communication across clients, internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams while supporting successful client transformation initiatives.
Requirements
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
  • At least 3 years of experience working for or with a State Medicaid Agency.
  • Project management experience supporting State Medicaid and other HHS programs, such as TANF, SNAP, or Child Welfare.
  • Experience managing projects within large enterprise implementations.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day activities of project teams, including assignments, schedules, and workload control.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead effectively and collaborate successfully within a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures, including project deliverable reviews.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving project issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing, editing, and presenting reports, summaries, and complex information and data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, and Zoom or similar webinar platforms.
  • Familiarity with document repositories such as Microsoft SharePoint.
Benefits
  • Base salary range of $105,000–$130,000.
  • Regular full-time position.
  • Remote work opportunity, with the option to support clients primarily in Washington, DC and Albuquerque, NM.
