Job summary

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking a Health Insurance Specialist (GS-0107-13) to serve as a technical expert in the development and implementation of Medicaid, CHIP, and the Basic Health Plans.

The position involves crafting policies, providing technical guidance, and developing regulations, manuals, program memoranda, and communications to ensure compliance with federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Implementing program policies for Medicaid, CHIP, or the Basic Health Program to ensure compliance with federal regulations and program objectives.
• Providing technical guidance on Medicaid, CHIP, or BHP program policies; and
• Developing regulations, manuals, program guidelines, program memoranda, policy letters, and instructions to communicate health insurance program policies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert in the development and implementation of Medicaid, CHIP, and the Basic Health Plans.
• Assist in interpreting federal regulations and guidance and supporting policy communications across agencies.
