Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework and at least three years of professional research experience, plus strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Current NYS Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as Program Research Specialist 2 (Medical Assistance).
• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in statistics, biostatistics, economics, research methods, mathematics, or data analysis plus three years of professional research experience.
• Experience working in Medicaid and long-term community care populations.
• Experience reviewing and writing policy documents and using research and data analysis to inform policy at state or federal level.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
