Job description

Patient Helper / Medicaid Enrollment Coordinator - Las Vegas, NV; Erie, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Queens, NY

Join a fast-growing, mission-driven organization making a real impact in the lives of medically complex and underserved patients. As a Patient Helper (Medicaid Enrollment Coordinator), you will serve as a compassionate advocate and healthcare navigator—guiding eligible patients through the Medicaid Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) Program to improve access, reduce costs, and drive better health outcomes.

This is a hybrid role combining patient-facing advocacy, hospital-based engagement, and administrative coordination. You’ll work directly with patients, families, and hospital staff to explain the HIPP program, gather documentation, and manage end-to-end enrollment with urgency, empathy, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Engage patients and families in hospital settings to explain HIPP program eligibility and benefits
  2. Build trust and communicate clearly with individuals in high-stress, emotionally sensitive situations
  3. Coordinate enrollment by gathering documentation, liaising with employers, and navigating hospital systems
  4. Maintain relationships with hospital staff, case managers, and social workers
  5. Use tech tools (EMR, CRM, MacOS, iPhone) to manage documentation and workflows in real-time
  6. Advocate for patients while meeting performance and productivity goals
What We’re Looking For
  1. Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
  2. Experience working with underserved or Medicaid-eligible populations—personally or professionally
  3. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  4. Independent, self-motivated, and able to manage high-volume, high-stakes workflows
  5. Comfortable with KPIs, metrics, and working in a results-driven environment
  6. Proficient in hospital technology systems and remote communication tools

If you’re driven by purpose and thrive in fast-paced, high-impact environments—this is more than a job. It’s a chance to help transform healthcare for those who need it most. Send me an Inmail message if interested.
