Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management seeks a responsible professional to manage Medicaid Pending information from responsible parties and support the Senior Medicaid Advocate in determining Medicaid Eligibility for admission.

You will contact responsible parties, assist residents or families with documentation, maintain referral tracking, and provide regular updates to leadership while ensuring compliance with state laws and the organization’s policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in Medicaid application/renewal processes in LTC facilities.
• TMHP and SimpleLTC portal experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills required.
• Well organized and able to multitask.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to travel with valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist Medicaid Pending process by contacting responsible parties for backup information.
• Communicate with residents and/or families regarding the application process and required documents.
• Maintain tracking system for Medicaid Pending referrals to ensure timely completion.
• Detailed email communication within the referral group attaching required information.
• Report delays or barriers to the Senior Medicaid Advocate.
• Provide weekly status updates to the Senior Medicaid Advocate and VP of Revenue Cycle Management.
• Pick up PO box mail and distribute.
• Ensure compliance with state laws and the Organization’s Compliance Plan.
• May assist other departments within Accounts Receivable as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Follow HR practices to ensure compliance, morale, and staff retention.
• Conduct continuing education programs and in-service training for direct reports and staff.
• Follows HR policies and enforces corporate personnel policies.
• Communicates clearly with decision makers and follows up to minimize negative impact.
• Participates in interdepartmental meetings to maintain liaison.
• Manages internal relationships across the region.
• Attends Human Resources Workshops.
