Job summary

New York State Department of Health is seeking a Senior Health Care Management Systems Analyst to support the MEDS Compliance Unit. You will create and review Medicaid encounter data reporting, conduct data-driven compliance analyses, and prepare outreach materials for MCOs.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in public policy analysis related to finance, with strong SAS/SQL data skills and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in conducting public policy research and analysis in finance.
• Experience analyzing Medicaid/health policy data and reporting.
• Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and review Medicaid Encounter Data reporting, compliance, and outreach activities to ensure MCOs meet standards.
• Develop monthly validation and compliance reports; assess data accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain SAS/SQL scripts to extract data from MDW and OHIP Data-mart for statistical reports.
