Job summary

MasterApp Labs LLC seeks a Senior Medicaid Data Analyst for a Richmond, VA contract role with hybrid work (on-site 1 day/week after start; equipment pickup in person). You will test and validate data pipelines, write Teradata SQL queries for reports, and build dashboards with Tableau/Power BI/Looker.

Collaboration with vendors and thorough data governance are key to success. The role requires Medicaid/Medicare experience, strong SQL skills, and a degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Medicaid or Medicare and related policy implementations.
• 3+ years as a Data Analyst or similar role with strong SQL focus.
• Advanced SQL skills in Teradata (performance tuning, BTEQ, Teradata SQL Assistant).
• Experience writing test plans, data validation, and identifying data issues.
• Collaborates with vendors/IT teams to manage updates and resolve issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Stats, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Data Testing & Validation: design, execute, and document test cases and scripts.
• Data Extraction & Reporting: write and optimize SQL queries to produce reports.
• Vendor Collaboration: primary contact for data warehouse vendor and issue resolution.
• Reporting & Visualization: create dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Data Governance & Documentation: maintain data definitions and schemas.
• Preferred Medicaid policy knowledge relevant to reporting requirements.
