Job summary

DGS Office of External Affairs is seeking a Financial Manager II to oversee individual Medicaid budgets within the Disabilities, Aging & Independent Living (DAIL) Developmental Disabilities program. You will track budgets, generate reports, and ensure accurate payments in-state systems.

Responsibilities include managing budgets with Excel, running MDWAS reports, approving payments in the VISION system, and acting as backup to the contracts and grants staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent with 2+ years fiscal operations experience
• Accounting experience or CPA can fulfill requirements
• Experience with accounting, budgeting, or fiscal analysis in a professional setting
• Experience with Vermont's financial systems is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor Medicaid budgets within the DAIL Developmental Disabilities program.
• Track budgets using Excel spreadsheets.
• Run reports in the State Medicaid database (MDWAS).
• Approve payments in the VISION finance system.
• Serve as backup to DAIL's contracts and grants specialist.
