Job summary

Georgetown University is seeking a Programmer in the Department of Health Management and Policy within the School of Health to work on large Medicaid-related datasets. You will engage in policy-relevant research using TAF data, contribute to publications, and support project management and cross-institution collaborations.

The role is full-time, temporary for one year with potential renewal, and designated hybrid in mode of work.

Qualifications

  • Master-level degree or higher in data science, public policy, public health, economics, social sciences, computer science, or a related field with 7 to 8 years’ experience.
  • Familiarity with Python and SQL is required.
  • Preference for experience with Medicaid claims data, Jupiter Notebooks, Github, and Databricks.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets from CMS and other sources.
  • Construct tables and figures for publications and presentations.
  • Collaborate with PI on research questions and methodology.
  • Serve as data custodian for project and work with project manager on logistics.
  • Collaborate with researchers across different institutions.
