Job summary

Myers and Stauffer LC is seeking a skilled auditor to review Medicaid provider cost reports, analyze financial data, and perform reimbursements calculations. You will conduct desk reviews, on-site audits, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining thorough documentation and confidentiality.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting (Master’s preferred) and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate is preferred.
• Experience in health care auditing and data analysis is desirable.
• Ability to interpret regulatory language and apply requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of Medicaid provider cost reports.
• Analyze health care provider financial information.
• Perform reimbursement calculations.
• Prepare written documents supporting professional decisions.
• Conduct desk reviews and on-site audits.
• Research billing and reimbursement compliance with Medicaid or government program regulations.
• Lead all audit phases from planning to reporting.
• Review applicable federal and state policies prior to audits.
• Prepare working papers documenting scope and findings.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
• Document electronic records thoroughly.
