Job summary

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc., a provider contracted with Darien Fire/EMS, Sharon Fire & Rescue, and Walworth Fire & Rescue, seeks a part-time Paramedic/Firefighter to deliver EMT-level medical care and transport patients in accordance with Wisconsin DHS scope of practice. Candidates should hold Paramedic license and Wisconsin Firefighter I certification, with CPR, and meet age and license requirements.

Metro will provide training for ACLS/PALS as needed.

Qualifications

• Paramedic license and firefighter certification required or preferred.
• CPR certified and valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year EMS/fire experience; pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check performed.

Responsibilities

• Provide EMT-level medical care and transportation for patients.
• Work within the scope of practice as defined by Wisconsin DHS.
• Support the Darien Fire/EMS Department, Sharon Fire & Rescue and Walworth Fire & Rescue contracts.
• Participate in on-call/part-time scheduling as assigned.

We are currently seeking a part-time Paramedic/Firefighter for our Darien Fire/EMS Department, Sharon Fire & Rescue and Walworth Fire & Rescue contract.

The basic function of theParamedic/Firefighter to provide medical care and transportation for a patient at theEMT level, within their scope of practice, as stipulated by Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

Paramedic/Firefighter Qualifications:

• Paramedic License
• Wisconsin Firefighter I Certificate
• 1 year experience
• CPR Certified
• 21 Years of age
• Valid Wisconsin Driver's License
• ACLS preferred (Metro will train)
• PALS preferred (Metro will train)
• Successfully completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check
